About HuisWeter
For any address in the Netherlands, HuisWeter shows what is publicly known about the home and its surroundings: the WOZ value, an estimated market value, the monthly running costs of the home, the residents and the neighbourhood, health, schools and amenities, and the environment and its risks. All in one report, free and without an account.
What we stand for
- Public sources only. CBS, Kadaster and BAG, PDOK, RVO, DUO, RIVM, the national childcare register, OpenStreetMap, NVM and more. Every figure names its source. The overview is on the Sources page.
- The method behind every figure. A figure without an explanation cannot be checked, so each one tells you how it was determined. The general approach is on the Methodology page.
- An estimate is an estimate. Whatever we calculate instead of measure, such as the market value and the monthly costs, is marked as an estimate and comes with a range or an explanation.
- Areas, not people. Figures on, for example, crime or health describe a neighbourhood or municipality, never a street, a household or a person.
What HuisWeter is not
HuisWeter is not a valuation, not financial advice and not a mortgage calculation, and it is not an estate agent. The condition, renovations and furnishing of a home are not in public sources and therefore not in our figures. Use the report as a starting point for your own research, not as a replacement for a valuer, a building survey or advice from a financial adviser.
Homes for sale
For homes that are currently for sale we also use details from the listing, such as the asking price and the photo. We load the photo directly from the listing site's server; we do not store it ourselves. An asking price is an asking price, never a sale price.
